Remember when the NBA Playoffs were just starting? They’re entering their seventh weekend now, and Bill has an update from the Eastern and Western Conference Finals.

Bill talks Stanley Cup Finals with Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times. Neither the Philadelphia Flyers nor the Chicago Blackhawks have won a Cup for at least 35 years, and Helene predicts which long-suffering hockey city will finally put their drought behind them.

For much of the last four decades, the Chicago Blackhawks have been the black sheep in the royal family of hockey’s original six and a laughingstock in the league. But young superstars Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews have brought the team to the Stanley Cup Finals, and the future of the squad could not be brighter. Only A Game’s Yolanda Perdomo reports on the team that brought hope back to a city notorious for its losers.

Bill took a trip down to Hartford, Connecticut to check out the form of the US men’s soccer team in a friendly match against the Czech Republic. He found a motley group of American hooligans and a herculean underdog who may prove a fan favorite.

Want to know England superstar Wayne Rooney’s Achilles heel? Or how George W. Bush inspired the 2002 US national team? You’ll find all of that and more in the ESPN World Cup Companion. Bill chats with co-authors David Hirshey and Roger Bennett.

Bill and Only A Game analyst Charlie Pierce discuss Brits watching the World Cup on the job, Diego Maradona streaking and more from another strange week in sports.

Bill fields listeners’ questions from Only A Game’s electronic mailbag.

Most people have seen Danica Patrick in TV ads and on magazine covers, but she’s not the only woman racing at this weekend’s Indy 500. In fact, there will be four female drivers in Indianapolis, while NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 on the same day features none. Only A Game’s Scott Graf reports.
